Born in 1800, the Museum is divided into four floors: the first is dedicated to a presentation of the succession of ancient cultures in Sardinia, starting from the Neolithic. Then follows the Nuragic civilization, represented by innumerable finds from all over the island. Follow the Phoenician, Punic and Roman civilizations, all three decisive in the history of Sardinia. The other three floors are dedicated to the illustration of the different territorial sectors, with the exhibition of the materials found in the different locations following a topographical criterion, with showcases dedicated to specific archaeological sites.
