Cagliari Cruise Port is excited to welcome AIDAcosma, new ship belonging to the German Cruise Line AIDA, on her maiden call to the Sardinian port.
LNG-powered, the vessel can accommodate up to 5.400 passengers in 2.732 cabins and the on-board experiences feature 17 restaurants, 15 pools and a Spa of 3.545 square meters.
From May to October, for a total of 14 times, AIDAcosma calls Cagliari as part of different itineraries in the Western Mediterranean.
“Cagliari confirms itself again this year as an attractive destination for the northern European market. German guests show an increasing interest in the island’s capital, that gives them the chance to enjoy the day on excursions by bus, on foot and by bike. There are 4.989 guests on board and about 4.300 passengers went ashore to visit the city and its surroundings”- affirms Raffaella Del Prete, General Manager of the Cagliari Cruise Port.
To mark the event, this morning the Captain invited Cagliari Cruise Port and the local authorities on board for the crest exchange ceremony.
Since the end of 2016, Cagliari Cruise Port has been part of Global Ports Holding (GPH), the world’s largest independent cruise port operator, with an established presence in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Asia-Pacific regions, including extensive commercial port operations in Montenegro. With an integrated network of cruise ports serving cruise liners, ferries, yachts and mega-yachts, GPH operates 27 cruise ports in 14 countries and continues to grow steadily, providing services for over 15 million passengers and reaching a market share of 29% in the Mediterranean annually.
