On a sun-kissed December day, the Port of Cagliari warmly welcomed the long-awaited return of MSC Orchestra, marking a special moment in the cruise season. This festive occasion brought a unique blend of traditional Sardinian charm and holiday cheer, offering guests an unforgettable experience.
As passengers disembarked, they were greeted by the sounds of traditional Sardinian melodies and dances, creating an immersive cultural experience from the very first step. Guests were also treated to the delicious flavors of Sardinian sweets, adding a delightful taste of the island’s culinary heritage to their visit. The air was filled with the magic of Christmas, as the terminal was beautifully decorated, offering a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
To commemorate the inaugural port of call, a crest exchange ceremony was held on board between Commander Siviero, local authorities, and the entire port cluster. This time-honored tradition symbolizes the strong bond between the ship, its crew, and the destination, further enhancing the relationship between MSC Orchestra and Cagliari.
The MSC Orchestra will continue to be a frequent visitor to Cagliari, with weekly calls scheduled throughout the winter months. This special ship will also be our guest of honor on Christmas Day, marking the close of the 2023 cruise season, and on New Year’s Day, when it will kick off the 2024 cruise season in grand style.
With its continued presence, MSC Orchestra brings both joy and anticipation to the Port of Cagliari, offering guests a unique blend of holiday spirit, Sardinian culture, and the excitement of cruising.
